This board is not for me.
by Wafe inwhen i came to this board, i thought that it was for encouragement amoung people who had been treated badly by the wtbts, i did not understand that people were going to come here and bash god, his son and the bible.
i could understand some embitterment over religion but some of you people are down right insulting.
not to mention the fact that i have tried to contact others on the board and have had my messages ignored.. .

LESSONS FROM HISTORY
by Doug Mason inlessons from history .

* a very recent posting mentioned eschatologists of the 19th century (1800s) who provided ctr with his ideas on the interpretation of last-day prophecies.

Doug! Marvelous lessons form history. Eschatology is truly the solid food of scripture. Chronology, the 6,000 years of human history thus far, the gentile times, the 1,260 years, the 2,520 years, are all relevant to understanding end times.
After leaving the organization 20 years ago, I spent my time in researching that subject. Am now sharing my work on the internet. Click on the link below then scroll down to chapter 5.

Borgia!
I'm only calling this the way I see it from scripture. Time will confirm its correctness.
---Adam and Eve, satan and the demons did not follow Gods instruction, which would have allowed them to continue living. Satan became a manslayer. Sin, (error), brought death to mankind. Gen.3:15-20; James1:14-15: 1John3:8; John8:44; Rev.20:10.
---The test in Eden would demonstrate man's willingness to follow God's direction which would allow them to keep on living. God is the dispenser of everlasting life. God's rule of law would apply to all creation including satan and the demons.
---Yes, I agree with your observation as to the spiritual darkness of the 6 billion human's in the general population of the world. The promise is the light will get brighter. This is happening in our generation. The great expose' of false religion, politics and commerce is now. Look at this forum and other groups along with whistle blowers exposing corruption. They have been invited to the great evening meal of God to eat up the carcass of the wild beastly tainted rulling eliment of this world, allowing mankind to recognize truth. Rev.16:15; 19:17-21; 1John5:19; Pro.4:18; Dan.12:2-4.
---I also agree the book of Revelation is symbolic. The thousand years is 10 raised to the 10th degree, meaning complete. Ten in scripture represents completeness.
---And yes, its true understanding of why God's promised kingdom has delayed has been hidden from mankind. It becomes obvious that Jehovah has a timetable in which to complete his purpose. The time is said to be when "He hands over the kingdom to his God and Father---and brought to nothing all governments and authority and power---when he has put all enemies under his feet. 1Cor.15:24-28; Eph.3:9-13; 1The.5:1-11; 1Tim6:14-16.; Hab.2:3.

Good questions!
I'll share my research with you. Others no doubt have come to different conclusions. 1Pet.3:15.
--Did Angels who came to earth sin?
Apparently, 2Pet.2:4 says: "God did not hold back from punshing the Angels that sinned--but--throwing them into--pits--of darkness reserved for judgement.
--Did Satan when he rebeled commit sin?
Scripture says: 1John3:8. "The Devil has been sinning from the beginning--the son of man--(will)-- break up the works of the Devil", with the fulfilment of Rev.20:10.
--Why did they not die?
"One day is with Jehovah as a thousand years" 2Pet.3:8. In the day that Adam ate of the fruit he began to die. "Adam lived nine-hundred and thirty years and he died". Gen.5:5. The Devil and the wicked Angels is future. Rev.20:10.
--Why was it necessary for God to have an object or symbol of sin in the world?
The creature man, God made "according to his likeness" Gen.1:26. Obviously a higher form of life than the animals. However that would be decided by a test. How would they be different than the animal creatures? Some men would apparently "be like unreasoning animals naturally to be caught and destroyed" 2Pet.2:12.
The tree of the knowledge of good and evil would determine their willingness to follow the instruction of God. They had only one law to obey, Shouldn't have been a problem. However they chose to decide for themselves what was right and not obey Jehovah's rule of law. Gen.3:17-19.

Agree with your comments, Apostate Kate!
Is there then, not the possibility that when all is right, and mankind fulfills his assignment with all creatures in subjection,(Gen.1:28) that the death of animals will not continue? Isa.65:25. The wolf and the lamb themselves will feed as one, and the lion will eat straw just like the bull, and as for the serpent, his food will be dust. They will do no harm nor cause any ruin in all my holy mountain, Jehovah has said."

Could it not have been because Adam lost his ability to be an effective caretaker of the garden, the fish of the sea, the flying creatures and every living thing moving upon the earth. Gen,1:28.
I made this comment on another post under 'friends', Febr. 7th subject law of gravity.

Law of gravity?
by the sage inif jehovah's rule of law works like the law of gravity, which it apparently does until the millennial rule of christ, the past 6000 years of sin (error) inherited from adam has permitted mankind to exist even though imperfect.
this has allows death and distruction.
the historical scriptural record of death and distruction of those that go contrary to god's rule of law by failing to follow his direction and guidance (since not perfect impossible), as a people or nation it proved to be the case.

If Jehovah's rule of law works like the law of gravity, which it apparently does until the millennial rule of Christ, the past 6000 years of sin (error) inherited from Adam has permitted mankind to exist even though imperfect. This has allows death and distruction.
The historical scriptural record of death and distruction of those that go contrary to God's rule of law by failing to follow his direction and guidance (since not perfect impossible), as a people or nation it proved to be the case. Thus death and distruction is charged to Jehovah because it is his rule of law that is broken. This apparently will continue until the promised millennium rule by Christ restores perfection.

144000, Where did Russell get his idea, and what do other religions believe
by jwfacts inwhere did russell get the notion that the 144k are a literal number, and that they are the rulers in heaven?
what do other religions believe this group to represent?.
what did john really mean?.

JWFACTS
Could it be since Revelation is obviously written in symbolism, the number 144,000 is not literal, but a sealed number, a symbolic perfect number confirmed by God. A balanced designated number that would be taken from every tribe of the sons of Israel (the people of God), with the same arrangement of 12 time 12 ruling heads as was the Jewish nation. However now, with the coming of the Christ, God turned to the nations and faithful Jews to make up the body of Christ, the ruling church. Acts 15:14-17; Rom.2:28,29; Gal.3:28,29; Col.3:11,12.
This was in contrast to the great multitude, which was not sealed and no man was able to number. Rev.7:9.

Are You Afraid To Die?

Good question, Avidbiblereader.
And Star Moor, I'm sorry to hear about your health problem. I'm sooo in agreement with your hope. The way I look at it, we left the watchtower organization and not the truth of scripture. Jehovah is a God of the living. The promise is that, those of us that don't quite measure up even to our own expections will be resurrected from the grave with an opportunity for life eternal. Dan.12:2; John 5:28-29; 1Cor 15:21-28, 54-57; Rom 2;7; Rev 21:1-4.
